Computers
The Library provides access to computers for using the Internet and for Microsoft Office applications (e.g., word-processing and spreadsheets). Visit the library to sign-up for a 30-minute appointment. Printing is $.10 per page. Read about the Library's Privacy Policy.
The Library also offers wireless access to the Internet.
ESL
Volunteer tutors provide one-on-one English-as-a-Second-Language tutoring to adults seeking to learn English. Intermediate level ESL classes and conversation classes are offered in the fall and spring. Contact the Library’s Assistant Director at (201) 939-8600 x 9 for information about becoming a tutor or a student.
Meeting Room & Exhibits
The auditorium and exhibit space of the Rutherford Public Library are provided to enhance library services to the people of Rutherford. The auditorium exists primarily for the use of library staff to present library-sponsored programs. When not in use for library-sponsored events the auditorium is available for free use by community groups that meet the Library’s regulations and for purposes that are consistent with the Library’s mission, goals, and objectives. When designated exhibit spaces within the library are not in use for library exhibits, space may be made available for exhibits, dependent upon the availability of staff resources to preview and coordinate exhibits and library programming needs. Exhibit space includes but is not limited to the display cabinets, Park Avenue window, lobby tables, and auditorium walls. To check the availability of the exhibit space please contact the Library’s Business Office at (201) 939-8600 ext. 8. Copy / Fax / Notary
The library provides self-service copy machines and a self-service fax machine for public use. Copies are $ .10. Fax rates vary by location. Notary public service is available at the Library during limited hours. Please phone ahead to inquire if the notary will be available at the time of your visit.
