Driving Directions
From Route 17 South
Take the exit that says Union Avenue, Rutherford. After the exit ramp, turn right onto Union Avenue. Go 1 block to the stop sign and turn left onto Hackensack Street. Go under the railroad tressel and turn right onto Erie Avenue. Continue straight and go around the circle to left onto Park Avenue. Proceed straight to the library, which is on the right.
From Garden State Parkway North
Take exit 153A. Proceed off of exit ramp onto Route 3 East. Continue on Route 3 East and get off at Park Avenue exit. Bear left immediately after exiting and turn left onto Park Avenue. Stay on Park Avenue for less than a mile. You will see the Library on your left after passing Borough Hall and the Post Office.
From Garden State Parkway South
Take exit 153. Follow signs for Route 3 East. Follow above directions from Route 3 East coming from Garden State Parkway North.
From New Jersey Turnpike North and South
Take exit 16W. After exiting follow signs for Route 3 West. Get on Route 3 West and after passing all exits to Route 17, take the exit marked Ridge Road. Turn right onto Ridge Road at the top of the exit ramp. Turn left after several blocks onto East Pierrepont Avenue. Go 3 blocks and to the traffic light and turn right onto Park Avenue. Continue on Park Avenue and the library will be on the left after passing Borough Hall and the Post Office.
By Bus
From NYC — Bus 190 to Rutherford at Platform #223 in the Port Authority.
From Paterson — Bus 190 to Rutherford.
From Hackensack or Newark — Bus 76 to Rutherford.
All buses stop at the Rutherford Train Station at the traffic circle.
From there, walk up Park Ave to the Library at 150 Park
Ave
(on the right just before you reach the Post Office).
