Beginning May 17, the Rutherford Public Library will host a four-week art program for differently abled children in grades 3-5. Each week, attendees will be introduced to a 20th century artist and will do a related art activity. The program will culminate with a gallery show at the library of all the children’s artwork, which will be mounted and displayed for public viewing.
Classes will be held the following Wednesdays from 4-5PM each week: May 17, 24, 31 and June 7. Space is limited and registration is required. A caregiver must register with each child. For more information, stop by the library or call 201-939-8600.
This program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
